Two matched of the decade shall stay for ever in the blue chronicle. In the fall of 1993 Levski eliminated the famous Rangers (Glasgow) from the tournament for the ECC thanks to the cannon shot of Nikolay Todorov – “the Kaiser” in the very end of the match. On the next autumn «the blues” defeated CSKA by 7:1 on the National Stadium with four of the goals scored by Nasko Sirakov .
The two above mentioned football players were the leaders and inspirers of the great team of the nineties. Enormous assistance was rendered them by Ilian Iliev, Daniel Borimirov, Zlatko Yankov, the goalkeeper Plamen Nikolov, Tsanko Tsvetanov, Petar Hubchev.
In those years the Club was managed by Tomas Laftsis – one of the most successful presidents in the history of the Club.
The team became champion in 1993, 1994 and 1995 and won the Cup of Bulgaria in 1991, 1992, 1994 and 1998.
