The age of Kapui, Pancheto, Tanka, Jabcho...

In 1933 “the blues” win at last their first republican title. The team wins the capital championship categorically with precedence of five points over the second team – Slavia. Borislav (Kyustendil) and Botev (Yambol) are overcome on the road to the final with Shipchenski Sokol (Varna) beaten by 3:1 in the decisive match. Whole 27 goals are scored by the brightest star Assen Peshev – Kapui.  “The blues” are again champions of the country in the season 1936/37. The team separates the first place in the capital championship with the FK-13 but proceeds in the republican phase thanks to the better goal-ratio. “The blues” eliminate there Levski (Dupnitsa), Botev (Plovdiv) and cope with Levski (Russe) in the final with 1:1 and 3:0. The team ranks second in Sofia in 1931 and 1932 and second in Bulgaria in 1940.
The great figures then are Assen Peshev – Kapui, considered for the best forward of Levski and the national team of Bulgaria till 1940. Bright marks are left by Assen Panchev – “Pancheto”, Borislav Gabrovski , Mihail Lozanov – “the tank”, Konstantin Efremov – “the froggy”. All of them have significant contribution to winning the Balkan Cup by our national team in 1932.
